Happy 2025 to all! We, of the EVMWBi, are proud to unveil the new masthead of EVJ News, which was designed by Taclobanon tri-media journalist and digital specialist, Edwin Rivera Torres.
This new masthead is a visual representation of our unwavering commitment to truth, integrity, and regional identity. This embodies the spirit of Eastern Visayas, reflecting our strong connection to the people and communities we serve.
The three green stripes on top of the logo represent the three major islands of Leyte, Samar, and Biliran, united in purpose and regional pride. Encircling the letters “EVJ” is a circular border, evoking the image of the sun rising over the eastern horizon of the Visayas, signifying the dawn of truth, our awakening to a life with God, and a testament to our mission of shedding light on issues affecting our daily grinds.
Below, a broader stripe symbolizes our foundation for being—a steadfast commitment to fearlessness, fairness, balance, and truthfulness. These core principles define EVJ News, guiding us as we continue to deliver accurate, reliable, and unbiased news to our online/print community.
With this new design, we reaffirm our dedication to being a trusted source of information, upholding journalistic integrity, and amplifying the voices of Region 8, under its oath of ethical, responsible journalism.
