ALBUERA LEYTE–In a media interview, Espinosa is hopeful that candidates at least in the municipality of Albuera will ensure peaceful elections and follow the rules set forth by the Comelec.
“I am excited and happy to see the upcoming result of Monday’s elections as i told my ever increasing number of supporters to remain calm and observe lawful practice of elections,” Espinosa said.
He disclosed that everyday supporters keep flocking to hos residence to ask various and assistance and show full aupport to hos candidacy.
However, Eapinosa expressed concern over the recent reports reaching his camp about unknown armed men roaming around Albuera in plain clothes carrying high powered firearms
“These citings of armed men roaming around our town have been confirmed by drone footages provided to us by some concerned citizens who also fear of their presence in our town, Espinosa said.
He said this is a new experience for them to see unidentified armed men circling around their town in election period indicating of possible danger or threat which is not normal to a usual peaceful and quaint town of Albuera.
“I appeal to police authorities to check on the veracity of the presence of these armed men illegally roaming around the premises of our town and immediately arrest these people who might sow terror this coming elections, Espinosa hinted.
Espinosa vowed to help fast track the resolution of criminality and illegal drugs problem in the fourth district of Leyte if he gets elected as Mayor of the municipality of Albuera.
“Peace and order and resolution of drug problem would be top priority if I and Congressional aspirant Ching Veloso get voted this Monday’ mid term elections,” Espinosa said.–Lemuel Pagliawan
